Biography
Wenpeng Luan (SM’05) received the B.Sc. degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1986; the M.Sc. degree from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 1989; and the Ph.D. degree from Strathclyde University, Glasgow, U.K., in 1999, all in electrical engineering.,He started to work as a Chief Expert with the China Electric Power Research Institute, Beijing, in 2013. He was an Engineering Team Lead of the Smart Metering and Infrastructure Program with BC Hydro, Burnaby, BC, Canada. He has extensive academic and industrial experience in power system security assessment, system planning, smart grid applications, and computer network information security.
