Biography
Montserrat Corbalán (M’10) was born in Teruel, Spain. She received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 1990 and 1993, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, in 1997, all in physics.,Since 1991, she has been with UPC, first as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering and then, since 2002, as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering. She has worked on optical pattern recognition of color images, digital signal processing, and methods for characterizing cameras and color.
