Biography

Fabian Zimmer received the M.S. degree in microsystem technology from Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, in 2003.,Since 2003, he has been with the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS), Dresden, Germany, where he developed a high-efficiency resonant scanning grating chip for a new miniaturized near-infrared-response spectrometer system from 2003 to 2006, joined the Technology Development Group as the Project Manager in 2006, leading several projects in the field of scanning micromirrors and CMOS-actuated micromirror arrays, and has been responsible for the technology development of resonant scanning micromirrors since 2008.
