Biography
Motoaki Kawanabe received both the masters and PhD degrees in mathematical engineering from the University of Tokyo in Professor Amari's Lab. Since 2000, he has joined the IDA group at Fraunhofer FIRST. His research interests are focused on statistics, information theory, information geometry and, recently, also on blind source separation and independent component analysis.(Based on document published on 8 December 2003).
