Biography
Bin Ran received the B.S. degree in civil engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1986, the M.S. degree in civil engineering from The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, in 1993. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Wisconsin–Madison. His research interests include intelligent transportation systems, Internet of mobility and connected vehicles, the Internet of Things, dynamic transportation network models, traffic simulation and control, and cell phone probe technologies.(Based on document published on 30 September 2020).
