Biography
O. Camacho (Senior Member, IEEE) received the bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and the M.Sc. degree in control engineering from the Universidad de Los Andes (ULA), Mérida, Venezuela, in 1984 and 1992, respectively, and the M.E. degree in chemical engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the University of South Florida (USF), USA, in 1994 and 1996, respectively. Postdoctoral development activities at USF in 2001. He has held teaching and research in the ULA and PDVSA, Venezuela, USF, and the Escuela Politécnica Nacional, Ecuador. He was the Head of the School of Electrical Engineering, a Coordinator of the Master Program in Automation and Instrumentation, and the Dean of the Engineering Faculty, ULA, from 2005 until 2014.
