Biography
Thomas H. Dubaniewicz, Jr. received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and the M.S. degree in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA.,From 1988 to 1996, he was with the U.S. Bureau of Mines. Since 1997, he has been with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, where he is currently a Lead Research Engineer in the Office of Mine Safety and Health Research. He is a U.S. Representative on an IEC TC31 Maintenance Team and Working Group for equipment used in explosive atmospheres. He has authored 28 research publications and has contributed to over 20 safety design standards as a member of the ISA 12 Committee on Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Locations. His researc...
