Biography
Mariusz Kaczmarek was born in Kowalewo Pomorskie, Poland, in 1971. He received the M. Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering from the Gdansk University of Technology, Gdansk, Poland, in 1995 and 2003, respectively.,Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, GUT. His research interests include new diagnostic and treatment technologies, advanced IR imaging, image processing and telemedicine techniques.,Dr. Kaczmarek is a member of Polish Society of Biomedical Engineering. He received the Andronicos G. Kantsios Award at XXIII Int. Thermosense Conference, Orlando, FL, in 2001 and the Siemens Award in 2004.(Based on document published on 22 January 2007).
