Biography
Torsten Funck received the Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing. degrees in electrical engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig, Brunswick, Germany, in 1982 and 1990, respectively.,In 1982, he joined Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Brunswick, where he worked on the determination of the SI volt using a voltage balance for about 10 years. After working on Josephson voltage standards and being responsible for the reproduction and dissemination of the unit of voltage, he is currently engaged in ac–dc transfer and impedance.
