Biography
John V. Ringwood graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland, with the B. Sc. (Eng) in 1981 and a Ph. D. from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, in 1985. Prior to his appointment as professor and head of the Dept. of Electronic Engineering at NUI Maynooth, John was a senior lecturer at Dublin City University and has held visiting appointments at Massey University and the University of Auckland in New Zealand. His research interests focus on the development of advanced control strategies over a range of industrial applications, including the dairy industry and mathematical modeling and forecasting, particularly for electrical utilities.
