Biography
Ziv Yaniv (M’04) received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel, in 2004.,He is a Principal Investigator at the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation, Children's National Hospital, Washington, DC, USA. His main research interests are image-guided interventions, medical image analysis, computer vision, and software engineering. He actively supports the development of open source software, and leads the development of the free open source Image-Guided Surgery Toolkit (IGSTK).,Dr. Yaniv is a member of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology and IEEE Computer societies.(Based on document published on 24 October 2013).
