Biography
Toshiaki Yachi (M'83–SM'98–F'02) received the B.S., M.S., and Dr.Eng. degrees from Shizuoka University, Shizuoka, Japan, in 1973, 1975, and 1986, respectively.,In 1975, he joined the Electrical Communications Laboratories, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), Tokyo, Japan. In 2002, he was appointed as a Professor with the Faculty of Engineering, Tokyo University of Science, Tokyo, Japan, where he is currently with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering. He is currently engaged in research on power devices, power supplies, photovoltaic systems, and fuel-cell systems.,Dr. Yachi is a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan and the Japan Solar Energy Society.
