Biography
Jean-Jacques Slotine received the Ph.D. degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, USA, in 1983.,He is currently a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Information Sciences, a Professor of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, and the Director of the Nonlinear Systems Laboratory, MIT. After working with the Department of Computer Research, Bell Laboratories, he joined MIT faculty in 1984. He is a co-author of two graduate textbooks entitled Robot Analysis and Control (Hoboken, NJ, USA: Wiley, 1986) and Applied Nonlinear Control (Englewood Cliffs, NJ, USA: Prentice-Hall, 1991).
