Biography
Wen-Tsuen Chen (M'87–SM'90–F'94) received the B.S. degree in nuclear engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1970, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and computer sciences from the University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, USA, in 1973 and 1976, respectively. He is currently the Program Director of the National Program for Intelligent Electronics in Taiwan and the Distinguished Research Fellow with the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, since March 2012. From 1976 to 2012, he was a Professor with the Department of Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, and now a Tsing Hua Distinguished Chair Professor.
