Biography
Zhiping Zhou (S’90–M’92–SM’98) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), Atlanta, in 1993.,From 1971 to 1978, he was the Founder and the Vice President of production at Hengnan Transistor Factory, China, and a Guest Scientist at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD, from 1987 to 1989. From 1993 to 2005, he was with the Microelectronics Research Center, Georgia Tech, where he was involved in research and development in the areas of semiconductor devices and sensors, photonic devices and sensors, ultrafast optical communications, integrated optoelectronics, nanotechnology, and vector rigorous diffraction analysis.
