Biography
Geun Hie Rim (S’87–M’91) received the B.S. degree from Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1978, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 1988 and 1992, respectively.,Since 1978, he has been the Executive Director of the Industry Applications Research Laboratory with the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, Changwon, South Korea. He has authored numerous technical papers and holds 15 Korean and international patents on his research subjects.
