Biography
Bhabatosh Chanda is currently serving as a Visiting Professor with the Indian Institute of Information Technology at Kalyani, Kalyani, India. He has authored or coauthored around 250 journal and conference articles and nine books. He has supervised 17 Ph.D. students. He was elected a fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, in 2000, the National Academy of Sciences, in 2002, the Indian National Academy of Engineering, in 2005, and the Association of Pattern Recognition, in 2008. He was a recipient of the Young Scientist Medal Award at the Indian National Science Academy, in 1989.
