Biography
Stephen Vaughan Hanly (Fellow, IEEE) received the B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Western Australia and the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Cambridge University, U.K., in 1994. From 1993 to 1995, he was a Post-Doctoral Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ, USA. From 1996 to 2009, he was on the research and Teaching Staff at the University of Melbourne. From 2010 to 2011, he was an Associate Professor with the National University of Singapore. Since 2012, he has been a Professor with Macquarie University. He has won a number of best paper awards, including the 1998 Infocom Best Paper Award, the IEEE Information Theory Society and IEEE Communication Society Joint Best Paper Award in 2001...
