Biography
Patrick Bastard is professor at the Ecole Supérieure d'Électricité (Supélec), France. He manages the Power Electronics and Power Systems department. His main research activities are about power relaying, power system simulation and power system optimization in an open-market context. Before joining Supélec, Patrick BASTARD has been research engineer with Schneider Group, formerly Merlin-Gerin, at the Protection and Control Department, for 3 years. He graduated from Supélec in 1988. He received a Ph.D. degree in power system engineering in 1992 from the University of Paris, France.(Based on document published on 16 May 2008).
