Biography
T. Suga received the M. S. degree in precision engineering from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1979 and the Ph. D. degree in metallurgy and materials science from University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany, in 1983.,He joined the Max-Planck Institute for Metal Research, Stuttgart, in 1979, where he studied metal–ceramic joining and fracture mechanics of interfaces. In 1984, he became a member of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo, as an Associate Professor. Since 1993, he has been a Professor of precision engineering, working in the field of materials interfaces and microsystem integration.
