Biography
Thomas Novak (M'07) was born in Vienna, Austria. He received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree for his work in the research field of functional safety and system security in building automation from Vienna University of Technology in 2005 and 2008, respectively.,From 2005 to 2008, he was a Project Assistant and Project Leader with Vienna University of Technology. Since 2009, he has been with the Austrian company SWARCO FUTURIT that develops variable message signs. He is concerned with the engineering of highly reliable and available embedded software.
