Biography
Yongyi Yang (M'97–SM'03) received the B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. degrees from Northern Jiaotong University, Beijing, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and the M.S. degree in applied mathematics and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago, in 1992 and 1994, respectively.,He is currently on the Faculty of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, IIT, where he is an Associate Professor. Prior to this position, he was a faculty member at the Institute of Information Science, Northern Jiaotong University.
