Biography

Taro Eichler (taro.eichler@rohde-schwarz.com) is technology manager for wireless communications and photonics at Rohde & Schwarz, Munich, with a focus on 5G/6G technologies. Prior to joining Rohde & Schwarz, he worked for Intel Corporation as a specialist on photonics communication solutions and for NTT Basic Research Laboratories. He also worked on research projects at the University of Tokyo in the field of quantum optics. He holds a diploma in physics from the Technical University of Munich with thesis at the Max-Planck-Institute for Quantum Optics and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Bonn, Germany.(Based on document published on 19 February 2024).

In this paper, the problem of controlling chaos in Arneodo chaotic system is considered for the first time. Three different methods, feedback linearization, backstepping design and sliding mode control, are used to suppress chaos and regulate the system around one of its unstable equilibrium points.
