Biography

Manickam Pillai Sakthivel was born in Tamilnadu, India, in 1970. He received the Degree in instrumentation engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 1993.,He underwent one-year post-graduate training in nuclear engineering with the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, India. From 1994 to 1998, he was an Instrument Maintenance Engineer with CIRUS Reactor, BARC. Since 1997, he has been involved in the design activities pertaining to instrumentation and control for fast-breeder reactor. He is responsible for the instrumentation design of primary sodium systems, secondary sodium systems, and safety grade decay heat removal system of prototype fast-breeder reactor.(Based on document published on 20 November 2015).
