I. Introduction
With the recent advancements in the sector of information and communication technology (ICT), the conventional power system has evolved into a cyber-physical power system (CPPS) consisting of various intelligent devices. CPPS can be considered to be a heterogeneous system responsible for the integration of computing, control, and communication. Intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) act as a bridging medium between various physical devices and the ICT system. This connection facilitates the collection of various sensor data, system state identification, control, and regulation of various processes for achieving optimal operation. Hence, CPPS not only comprises computation, communication, sensing, and control but also comprehensively covers the traditional power system aspects such as electricity generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization, etc.
