I. Introduction
Effectiveness of information integrity depends on IoT device’s ability to handle authentic data and produce accurate output, which is required for the other phases of a system that depend on the output to function properly [17]. Confidentiality of data refers to the protection of information from unauthorised access. Access to sensitive information is restricted to those who have been given permission. IoT devices, in particular, are vulnerable to a variety of security threats. As a result, we encrypt data using the DES Encryption Algorithm at the transmitter and decrypt it using the DES Decryption Algorithm at the receiver. We attain a level of data confidentiality by doing so. AES algorithm can also be utilized for securing the transmission of data. Here in this paper, we use DES technique for implementing Confidentiality of data in the Internet of Things [18].
