I. Introduction
There is growing interest in high-power-density and high-efficiency on-board chargers (OBCs) for electric vehicles (EVs), to reduce charging energy use and save space in the vehicle. Since standard EV testing procedures require that ac charging energy is measured [1], the losses in the OBC are included in the official vehicle energy consumption ratings, and thus OBCs are critical components in modern EVs. Moreover, an efficient and compact OBC design is not limited to the EV market, but could be used in broader applications in electro-mobility including e-bikes, e-scooters, etc.
