I. Introduction
A 300 kV, 2.0 A DC accelerator power supply (APS) is being developed at IPR. The step-up transformers of APS are subjected to both AC and DC stresses. The output HV bushings are highly critical for successful and trouble-free operation of the system. As the application is of semi-indoor type and dedicated for experimental loads, feasibility of using a conventional OIP bushing for the application is investigated under both AC and DC voltages, for economic considerations.
