I. Introduction
Due to the need for a complex gear system to convert rotational torque into linear thrust, the rotating machinery used for translational motion is low in efficiency and high in cost. Linear motors (LM) can produce direct linear thrust. Due to the reduced mechanical conversion system, it is reliable, has a fast dynamic response, and has excellent overload capacity. The Linear Flux Switching Machine (LFSM) combines the characteristics of LPMSM and LSRM with the following advantages: High power density [1], bipolar flux linkage, rugged secondary (stator) construction, suitable for rugged and fast applications [2], reduced manufacturing costs [3], and for extreme environmental conditions, it has improved temperature control [4].
