Abstract:
In this paper, two kinds of millimeter wave (mmWave) substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-fed filtenna arrays for 5G applications are presented. As a result, a four-order band-pass filtering response is achieved. For demonstration, filtenna array prototypes were fabricated and measured. These prototypes cover the 5G millimeter wave band (24.25 - 29.5 GHz) with measured average gains of 8.2 dBi with 22 dB out-of-band suppression. The proposed antennas are good candidates for 5G mmWave communication.
