I. Introduction
The Internet community always aims to improve the performance of connection establishments on the web and has come up with protocols such as QUIC or TLS 1.3 zero RoundTrip Time (0-RTT) handshakes. However, many connection establishments on the web require a prior resolution of the domain name into IP addresses. The Domain Name System (DNS) is responsible for this task. Thus, DNS lookups can become a performance bottleneck on the web. Reducing the time required to resolve domain names into IP addresses benefits the page load time of websites. This in turn leads to an improved user experience during web browsing [1] and increases the per-user revenue of online service providers [2].
