Abstract:
In order to effectively support the design and evaluation of future teraheartz (THz) communications, the fundamental knowledge of the propagation channel characteristics is of paramount significance. In this paper, we introduce a channel characterization method based on ultra-wideband (UWB) channel sounding and ray tracing (RT). As a case study, the channel in intra-wagon scenario at 300 GHz band is characterized through extensive simulations using an RT simulator which is validated by the channel sounding results.
