I. Introduction
In the last century and in the course of the 21th, the technological development has reached a substantial increase. This advance has generated a high electrical energy demand, since it is considered the main pillar of industrial development. Currently, about 81% of the electric energy generation is through conventional energy sources, also called fossil fuels, such as: oil, natural gas, coal, or liquefied gas. Unfortunately, these types of energy sources, although they have a high energy density, are not renewable and are increasingly limited. Additionally, the use of these sources generates a great impact on the environment. For the reasons mentioned above, renewable power generation systems have had a major integration with electric systems, and it is expected that the trend will continue in the following decades.
