I. Introduction
In 2015, 1.2% of the US population was reported as active epileptic patients, which makes approximately 3.4 million epileptic subjects [1]. Moreover, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated a worldwide epileptic population of 50 million people in 2019 [2]. Epilepsy is a critical neurological condition that is characterized by having seizures [3]. These seizures may provoke additional loss of brain cells, emotional health issues, car accidents, and pregnancy complications [4]. Because of these consequences, treatments are necessary to provide the subject with the highest safety. Medication as valproic acid and carbamazepine, common antiepileptic drugs (AEDs), are well used; however, AEDs fail to control seizures in some patients [5]. It is then necessary to know in advance when a seizure will occur to perform the recommended first aid procedures. There lies the importance of seizure prediction.
