I. INTRODUCTION
Several technology sectors including energy grids, transportation networks and building systems have been rapidly changing over the past decade due to an increasing degree of automation. This transition holds great potential for an efficient control of the systems but also poses new challenges. Due to the intertwining of communication layers and physical components, cyber-physical systems are vulnerable not only to failures of their physical infrastructure but also to cyber attacks. Considering the often critical environments of these systems, it is crucial to develop defense mechanisms that ensure their security. Such methods address for example resilient control and detection of attacks.
