I. Introduction
In the wireless sensor networks (WSNs), the sensor nodes are limited battery powered and connected wirelessly [1], [2], They are deployed in the area under observation and monitor the area. Sensor nodes collect information and transfer this collected information to the base station (BS). BS collects updates and notifications from the targeted area [3], [4]. It is connected to the internet. As sensor nodes have limited battery power, the proper energy utilization is necessary for the WSNs. One of the effective mechanisms for efficient energy utilization is the clustering of sensor nodes. In the methodology of clustering technique, one of the sensor nodes leads to its particular cluster, called a cluster head (CH). CH accumulates the different number of data packets from each sensor node of its respective cluster and transfers to the BS [5]. In this paper, the mechanism of CH election and Cluster Construction using Fuzzy logic (CHCCF) for each round are carried out to improve the network lifetime. CHs are selected according to the output generated by fuzzy rules. To calculate the energy consumption of the network, we have used the same radio energy model from [9]. The related work of the CHCCF is discussed in Section 2. Section 3 and 4 discuss a CHCCF algorithm of cluster formation and its experimental analysis, respectively. Section 5 concludes the paper.
