I. Introduction
At present, improvements in railway transportation capacity are restricted by the efficiency of train operation control. Research in China is mainly based on the blocking method, wherein the shortest distance between adjacent trains is 3 min [1]. Operation intervals for the railway can still be reduced. Transportation efficiency is particularly important in some busy railway lines. Based on the existing railway infrastructure conditions, further reduction in the operation interval and improvement of train operation efficiency are urgently required with the precondition of safety ensured. An efficient train operation control method can greatly improve transportation capacity [2]. As conventional methods cannot resolve these problems, this study analyses train tracking operation scenarios, and proposes an efficient dispatching and coordinated control method to solve the above-mentioned issues.
