I. Introduction
Quality of service (QoS) field has been a historic concern inherited from fixed networks. Even thought QoS has been widely studied, it has not lost notoriety with the time being. New network paradigms, such as cellular access, comprise a group of features and conditions that are different from previous systems and where the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are also required to be met. Focusing on 4G LTE/LTE-A Internet access, the intrinsic variability in both the quality of radio channel and radio resource assignment plays a crucial role, making the measurements playground even more challenging. Therefore, the clarification of uncertainties regarding the suitability of QoS measurements has to be held. The paper targets the study of downstream speed and latency.
