I. Introduction
Undoubtedly, there are uncountable failures throughout the power system occurring due to different reasons. These failures could endanger various parts and equipment within the network if not isolated at the right time. Circuit breakers (CBs) make this job done by separating the faulty parts from the rest of the grid safely and reliably. The electro-mechanical mechanism of CBs is prone to different failures as it is under severe stress after each operation. Thus, it is crucial to analyze and predict the operating conditions of CBs. The condition monitoring of CBs has been considered for decades in most energy distributor companies.
