I. Introduction
High-temperature superconducting (HTS) wire such as Bi-2223 and REBCO are expected to be applied to a compact high field magnet with a utilization of a high critical field of the wire or an AC/pulse medium field magnet with a large temperature margin to the critical temperature from the viewpoint of an accelerator application [1]–[5]. As a step toward the latter accelerator application, we have fabricated a Bi-2223-HTS dipole magnet for beam line switching at the Research Center of Nuclear Physics (RCNP), Osaka University.
