I. Introduction
After the recent success of stereoscopic 3D (S3D) movies, the video industry has invested in the uniqueness of S3D imaging and display systems [1]. However, current S3D displays, which separately provide left- and right-view images for each eye through polarized glasses or shutter glasses, have several limitations. A possible obstacle of such glasses-type S3D displays is that users always have to wear specific glasses for binocular depth perception.
