I. Introduction
Face images record individuals’ long-term and precious memories and the historical moments of human civilization. They have great application and research value and have received extensive attention from the industry and academia. Face restoration (FR) refers to recovering high-quality (HQ) faces from low-quality (LQ) faces with degradation, such as low resolution, noise, and blur (see Fig. 1), which is an important branch of image restoration [1], [2], [3].
