I. Introduction
Interactive Evolutionary Computation (IEC) is useful for developing systems dependent on user sensitivity or subjectivity because it allows users to directly evaluate objects created by the system [1]. Researchers have studied various IEC systems including clothing-design systems [2]–[4], 3D graphics design systems [5], interior layout systems [6], hearing aid fitting systems [7], and robot action generation systems [8]. Many IEC systems evaluate candidate solutions using only a single person, and candidate solutions involving multiple people cannot be obtained. To solve this shortcoming, we propose an IEC system that evaluates candidate solutions using the votes by numerous people. This technique is effective for consensus building and obtaining solutions that are agreed upon by several people. A typical application of this method would be to facilitate the process by which a group of people designs clothing.
