I. Introduction
The introduction of Apple iPad and Android tablets around 2010, made it possible the use of these mobile devices in news ways for teaching and learning. Tablets are becoming less expensive and many students already bring themselves to classes. The increased availability of tablets with Internet connectivity and increasing power computing makes possible the use of augmented reality (AR) applications and the visualization of holograms using these mobile devices. This opens new possibilities for teachers to develop educational activities that can take advantage of augmented reality technologies and holograms for improving learning activities.
