I. Introduction
Generally parallel connection of converters is an efficient and reliable way of increasing power rating and reducing current stresses of switching devices. It can allow a low-power rating module to be utilized for a high-power rating converter system. The input-parallel output-parallel (IPOP) system offers several other advantages such as improved system reliability and better thermal distribution when compared to single high-power rating module. The high switching frequency operation for low-power rating modules in the IPOP system can also lead to the reduction of magnetic volume of the converter. Moreover, the relatively easy design and fabrication of low-power rating modules and the selection of switching devices with reduced current stresses make the IPOP system more attractive for high-power applications [1], [2].
