I. Introduction
In grid-connected systems, input ac voltages of rectifier are decided by a grid voltage. The range of the output dc voltage can be wide depending on the requirements of different types of applications. Additionally, the main design component such as the power factor, total harmonic distortion (THD), and efficiency are also determined by the type of applications. Among these components, efficiency is the most important design component in power converters used in data centers and telecommunication facilities [1]– [2]. Three-level converter topologies, which exhibit outstanding performances with respect to THD and efficiency [15]– [19], have been used in various wide-power range applications [3]– [14].
