I. Introduction
Many three-dimensional video technologies have been creatively exploited to provide a realistic, immersive experience for human viewers [1], [2]. Auto-stereoscopic 3-D technology has been used to simulate 3-D videos by displaying multi-view images of a scene from multiple viewpoints with slight differences [3]. However, a multi-view 3-D video is impractical because of the need to store, compress, process, and transmit huge amounts of data.
