I. Introduction
In the era of miniaturization of the antennas, microstrip antennas plays a significant role due to their low profile, economic development, and ease of fabrication [1], [2]. Several microstrip array antennas are reported in recent times [3] - [8]. Most of these antennas are realized to have dual polarized and/or multiband operations, having reasonable amount of inter-band or inter-port isolation depending upon their application. But the other aspect of the microstrip patch array antennas are to reduce the radiated power in unwanted direction which may reduce the efficiency of the antenna and cause interference. This can be achieved by reducing the side lobe levels (SLL). So, patch arrays with low side lobe level became a promising solution to address this limitation.
