Abstract:
We are developing an SoC FPGA-based unmanned mobile vehicle for an FPGA design contest. In addition to improving system performance, it is important to ensure efficient development and memory safety at runtime. Therefore, we have made the system into components. We also changed the implementation from C++ to Rust. The automated driving system was mounted on AMD’s Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, and performance comparisons were made between C++ and Rust implementations to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Rust implementation.
