I. Introduction
The utilization of equipment status data for lifecycle management is referred to as prognostic and health management (PHM) [1]. PHM is gaining prominence across various industrial sectors where there is an emphasis on safety and reliability [2, 3]. In the context of PHM, the concept of remaining useful lifetime (RUL), which denotes “the duration from the present moment to the end of useful operational life,” holds a pivotal role [4]. This concept facilitates proactive prediction of equipment failure, aiding decisions regarding optimal maintenance strategies. Such maintenance practices prove efficient from both economic and safety perspectives [1, 18].
